Liz Gallie, best known for her unique handmade jewellery made from local lawyer cane and precious metals, adopted Mission Beach as her home in 1974 after visiting what Liz terms "The most beautiful place I had ever seen.
Liz's studio is open by appointment and is a short walk from the cottage on a meandering pathway through the rainforest.
This is cassowary country and if you are lucky, one of the resident birds may make an appearance during your visit.
